Boys tennis takes down Rivet

We looked more like the team I remember tonight. I thought Mabry played his cleanest match of the season. Stevenson is a good player with solid strokes, but Mabry did a good job of sticking to the game plan and keeping the errors low, in addition to biding his time and waiting for the right opportunity to attack. Carter played a great match too, perhaps the most aggressive and loose he’s played all season. He finally resembled the player I see in practice. Reid held off a strong attack by Holka in the 2nd set where he really picked up some momentum. Our doubles continue to be reliable for us every night. Burgess/Miller had a slow start, but found another gear to get the win. Wonning has really improved his strokes, footwork, and consistency over the last couple weeks and looked good tonight. Gabe hits a really heavy ball and is becoming a solid player.
