I’m happy to come away with a win in our first match of the year. I think I recall saying last year how Linton surprised us with their athleticism. With everyone back this year we were expecting them to put up a fight, and they really showed their grit at the singles positions. I was pleased with how we started, but we need to work on maintaining that energy and initiative throughout the whole match. I thought our doubles looked excellent tonight. Piper and Hahn are a great pair, and one that came together rather late, but they will be very tough to beat this year. William’s serve is going to be a nightmare for #2 doubles opponents throughout the season. I was happy with the way our JV came out and collected 4 clean wins. Overall, we learned a lot tonight, we have some things to work on at practice tomorrow. We are looking forward to a good test on Wednesday against Memorial.
