Lincoln Boys Soccer earned its fifth consecutive victory and tenth of the season on Thursday, September 17, against the Richland County Tigers. The Alices opened the scoring on a strong attack in the 9th minute. Claudson Thomas scored our first of the night, assisted by Gera Silva. The Tigers would level the score soon after. The game would go into halftime level at 1. Cooper Barekman, a junior, would be the game changer and break the stalemate in the 51st minute, unassisted on his strong press on the Tiger backline. The Alices would finish the game out with that lead to close the match. Spotlight moments came from freshmen, Jason Richardville and Koen Lewis. Lewis stepped in on the back line to fill in as an injury replacement. Starting goalkeeper, Landon Telligman, picked up a slight injury from the Richland County turf and Richardville stepped in between the posts just before the halftime break and completed the match. The Alices finished the night with 12 shots. Telligman and Richardville each finished the night with 6 saves each. Barekman earned Man of the Match for his clutch goal and drive as he made the most of the most key moment of the game. The Alices now close out the three game week with a home matchup against South Knox on Saturday, September 19, with a 7:00 PM kickoff.
