Boys Soccer had a matchup with Evansville Central on Monday Night and earned their 5th straight win to open the season under the lights at the Lincoln Soccer Pitch. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Alices. The scoring was opened up by junior, Gera Silva, in the 21st minute off of an assist by senior captain, David Ramirez. Silva would follow that goal up in the 29th minute off of a vey impressive counter and buildup by Levi Klingler and an assist by senior, Claudson Thomas. In the second half, Claudson Thomas would find the net himself for our third goal of the night in the 52nd minute. Silva would find his third goal of the night, and our team's final of the night, in the 59th minute off of an assist by Levi Klingler. The Alices registered 29 shots on the evening. Claudson Thomas registered 7, Gera Silva registered 6 shots, David Ramirez put up 5 dangerous shots, junior, Ian Lancaster, put up 3 shots on goal, Bryce Quinett, Levi Klingler, and Jude Clark each added in 2 shot attempts each, and John Martin Beam, and Calvin Doggett each had a look on goal. Goalkeeper, Landon Telligman, a junior, had 5 saves on the night. Man of the Match honor went to Claudson Thomas for high intensity play, unselfishness in the buildup and attack. Thomas putting up an assist and a goal show the impact he made on the night. Further, Claudson continues to be a dangerous threat in the attack against every opponent we face. The boys next matchup is this coming Saturday against Northview. Kickoff is at noon at Northview. This will be the boys second match in our new conference, the Western Indiana Conference.
