Lincoln boys varsity soccer won a matchup with the Princeton Tigers today with the final score of 2-0, in favor of the Alices. The goals were scored by Junior, Gera Silva, and senior captain, David Ramirez. Scoring opened up in the 11th minute when Silva finished a ball cleared forward by senior center back, Carson Heiden. The second goal would come in the 36th minute by Ramirez. A corner kick, played in by Ramirez, was put into the 18 yard box by Junior, Jude Clark, and Ramirez wound up putting it in the back of the net. The Alices created many opportunities, finishing with 23 shots in the match. The defensive back four of Heiden, John Martin Beam, Grant Richardville, and Atticus Keller was incredibly solid and gave Princeton very few chances. Junior goalkeeper and captain, Landon Telligman, was credited with five saves on the afternoon. Man of the Match honors for the varsity matchup went to David Ramirez. David’s goal and strong presence in the midfield or key components in our buildup and victory today. Lincoln Boys Soccer now looks to next Thursday, September 3, at a home match up with the Evansville Central Bears.
