Vincennes Lincoln High School

The girls track and field team had a solid start to the season in this 8-team invitational hosted by VU. Lauren Story had an outstanding performance taking first place in the long jump with a 16'5". Story also placed third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.68. Alivia Eaton stated the season well with a second place finish in discus (94'11") and a fourth place finish in the shot put. Freshman Ella Wanke was 4th in the 400 meter dash a 67.9 second run. We had 5th place finishes in the 800 by freshman Kaitlyn Johnson and in the 1600 by sophomore Lillian Marley. Overall, it was great competition; our girls all gave wonderful effort; and it was a beneficial learning opportunity for our young, inexperienced team.
